In a statement shared on social media, the Prime Minister said the meeting aligned federal and state strategies using current data and real-world conditions. He said leaders at every level must move in step and base decisions on evidence.

He added that the government is running detailed scenario planning to prepare for different outcomes, with a clear focus on keeping the country’s energy supply secure. The administration also aims to limit price swings and protect the public from the economic impact of global uncertainty.

After the meeting, the Sarawak Premier met the Prime Minister in his office for a focused discussion on issues affecting Sarawak within the wider national response plan.

The gathering showed how closely federal and state governments work together during periods of international tension. For Sarawak, with strong interests in energy and resource management, these talks help align state policies with national priorities while keeping the welfare of citizens at the centre of decision-making.
