KUCHING – Preparations for the Sarawak Public Service Day 2025 (HPA) Celebration are now in their final stages, with thousands of civil servants expected to gather at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK) on Thursday.
On Wednesday, Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki personally reviewed the full rehearsal to ensure the smooth running of the programme.
His presence was not only to monitor progress but also to motivate civil servants who will be participating in the landmark event.
Since early morning, BCCK has been bustling with activity as government agencies finalised their booths and exhibition spaces.
Technical staff, officers, and volunteers worked together to complete installations, prepare information materials, and set up service demonstrations, ensuring that every detail was ready for the celebration.
Datuk Amar emphasised that the Public Service Day is more than just an annual gathering. “HPA is a platform to strengthen integrity, innovation and the effectiveness of services for the people of Sarawak,” he said, highlighting the event’s role in reinforcing the values of accountability and transformation within the state’s civil service.
This year’s programme is expected to draw thousands of civil servants from across Sarawak. Activities will include agency exhibitions, special performances, appreciation sessions, and presentations on the public service transformation agenda.
The event aims to showcase the achievements of the civil service while promoting collaboration and innovation across departments.
Officials noted that the celebration reflects Sarawak’s ongoing commitment to modernising governance and improving service delivery.
By bringing together civil servants from different agencies, the event provides a platform for knowledge sharing, recognition, and collective progress.
The Public Service Day 2025 is set to be a milestone occasion, reinforcing the state’s vision of a responsive, innovative, and people-centred civil service.
