KUCHING – His Excellency the Sarawak State Ruler, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, together with Her Excellency Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, has consented to the recording of the official Christmas Day 2025 and New Year 2026 speeches.
The recording session took place at the Official Residence in Petra Jaya at 10.00 am on Wednesday, 3 December.
The initiative was coordinated by the Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), the Sarawak Premier’s Department, and TVS, ensuring that the festive messages will be shared with the public in time for the celebrations.
The session was overseen by Mr. Samuel Simon, Senior Press Secretary to His Excellency, in collaboration with UKAS and TVS’s Visual Technical Section teams.
The UKAS delegation was led by Deputy Director Mr. Mohamed Faizal Shah bin Ali, who acted as recording director, supported by Mr. Ahmad Afid Hafizuddeen from TVS and the technical crew. Their combined efforts ensured a smooth and professional production process.
The recorded video message is scheduled for release on 24 December 2025, and will be broadcast across UKAS and TVS social media platforms, allowing Sarawakians to view the speech ahead of Christmas and the New Year.
In his remarks, Tun Pehin Sri Wan Junaidi expressed appreciation to the UKAS and TVS teams for their coordination, professionalism, and commitment in producing the official message.
He noted that their collaboration reflects the dedication of Sarawak’s communication agencies in ensuring important messages reach the people effectively.
The speeches are expected to highlight themes of unity, celebration, and reflection as Sarawak prepares to welcome the festive season and the new year.
The recording also underscores the role of media and communication agencies in bridging leadership messages with the wider community.
