Sarawak Welfare Team Together with Kapitan Tan Kun Gee Extended Their Helping Hands To Needy Families in Hui Sing

KUCHING, 28 NOVEMBER 2024 – Kapitan Tan Kun Gee, alongside the JKKK Hui Sing and officers from the Sarawak Social Welfare Department (JKM), stepped forward to address the plight of vulnerable individuals at Hup Kee Road. This proactive community effort reflects an unwavering commitment to supporting those in need.

The visit highlighted three special cases—a widow, a retired individual, and an elderly man—who were found to require urgent assistance. The team conducted interviews to better understand their circumstances and identified key areas of support, including the provision of food aid, assistance in applying for welfare benefits, and facilitating admission to the Old Folks Home at 12 Mile.

“We are deeply grateful to Puan Nur Arzich and Encik Voon of JKM for their swift action. Their dedication and prompt response enabled us to quickly visit and assess the situation of these individuals,” said Kapitan Tan Kun Gee.

The visit, coordinated by the Hui Sing District Development and Security Committee, reflects a shared resolve to address local challenges with compassion and efficiency. The collaboration underscores the importance of government and community partnerships in driving meaningful change.

As efforts continue, the JKKK Hui Sing and Sarawak Social Welfare Department remain committed to serving the community. “Your city, my city, our city. Together, we can make a difference,” said Kapitan Tan Kun Gee.

This initiative serves as a reminder of the power of community solidarity in creating a caring and inclusive society.
