MIRI: Youth groups are invited to contribute ideas and opinions on Sarawak’s direction and vision at the townhall session in conjunction with Sarawak Day 2025.
Deputy Minister in Sarawak’s Premier Department (Labour, Immigration and Project Monitoring), Datuk Gerawat Gala, said that the townhall, scheduled for 22 July 2025 at Imperial Hotel, Miri, targets more than 1,000 participants, especially youth aged 16 and above.
“Townhall is not just a briefing session, but also an important platform for the people, especially the youth, to throw suggestions and find solutions for the transformation of Sarawak towards a more developed and prosperous direction,”

The meeting involved various agencies and departments who focused on logistics, management, and promotional aspects to ensure the session runs smoothly and achieves its intended objectives.
Besides providing space for public expression, the townhall also aims to nurture patriotic spirit, foster public ownership of the Sarawak 2030 Vision, and promote active community participation in shaping the state’s future.
