MIRI – The Sarawakku Sayang Miri Division 2026 Programme was officially launched at Miri Stadium on 25 April, drawing strong participation from the local community in a celebration of unity and pride for Sarawak.
The event served as a platform to strengthen ties between the people and the government, reinforcing the spirit of “Sarawakku Sayang” as a foundation for harmony and progress.
The programme featured a variety of activities, including agency exhibitions, community initiatives, and presentations highlighting Sarawak’s ongoing development efforts.
Sarawak’s Director of Agriculture, Encik Dominic Anak Chunggat, attended the opening ceremony and visited the Sarawak Agriculture Department’s service counter stall, which showcased opportunities for agro-based industry entrepreneurs.
His presence reflected the department’s commitment to supporting agricultural innovation and entrepreneurship as part of the state’s broader development agenda.
The programme emphasised inclusivity, with exhibitions and activities designed to engage residents of all ages.
Organisers noted that the event was not only a celebration but also an opportunity to share information about government initiatives aimed at improving livelihoods and strengthening community resilience.
Officials highlighted that the Sarawakku Sayang initiative continues to play a vital role in fostering closer relationships between citizens and the state government.

Also present at the event was Mrs Chong Mui Sia, Miri Division Agriculture Officer, along with division and district agriculture officers.
