A Toyota Hilux belonging to one of the suspects was also seized during the operation.

Superintendent Aswandy added that the suspects are believed to have been involved in drug distribution activities since early this year, targeting areas including Sarikei, Meradong, Tanjung Manis, and Belawai. Their operations are suspected to be carried out online, making detection more difficult.

Both suspects have been remanded for seven days at the Sarikei Police Station lockup under Section 117 of the Criminal Procedure Code. The case is currently being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries the death penalty or life imprisonment and not less than 12 strokes of the cane upon conviction.
