Located directly opposite Sarawak State Library (PUSTAKA), the white-walled complex reflects Neoclassical and Colonial architectural styles, symbolising Sarawak’s rich cultural heritage and unity among its multi-ethnic population.

The Satria Pertiwi Complex comprises three main sections – the Main Office Building, Official Residence, and a Multipurpose Hall.

  • The Main Office is where the Premier’s administrative functions are carried out.
  • The Official Residence serves for hosting state guests and small official functions.
  • The Multipurpose Hall is designed to accommodate large-scale ceremonies and is open for use by complex residents.

Previously, the Sarawak Premier’s Office was based at Wisma Bapa Malaysia since its formation in 1976. The move to the new facility symbolises Sarawak’s progress and identity, with the state embracing a more strategic and modern centre of governance.

The ceremony was attended by Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian, and Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, along with State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Cabinet ministers and senior state officials.

Guests were treated to a vibrant light show, symbolic plaque-signing ceremony, and an exclusive tour of the complex, showcasing the interior of the new administrative landmark. — Bernama
