KUALA LUMPUR – The investigation paper involving Malaysian singer Shila Amzah, who alleged she was assaulted by a legendary male singer during a concert rehearsal, is expected to be referred to the Kuala Lumpur State Prosecution Director’s Office (PPN) today.

According to Kuala Lumpur Deputy Police Chief Datuk Mohamed Usuf Jan Mohamad, the investigation paper is nearing completion and will be handed over for review and further action.
“The investigation papers will be referred to the Kuala Lumpur PPN for further study and instructions (prosecution),” he said in a statement earlier today.
So far, four witness statements have been recorded, including from Shila herself. Authorities had earlier obtained statements from two other individuals soon after Shila lodged a report at the Dang Wangi Police Headquarters (IPD) at 5.31pm last Thursday.
The case is currently being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code, which relates to criminal intimidation. The nature of the alleged assault and the identity of the “legendary male singer” have not been officially disclosed by the authorities, and the police continue to treat the matter seriously due to the high-profile nature of the individuals involved.
Shila Amzah, a well-known and respected figure in Malaysia’s music industry, shocked fans and the entertainment industry alike with the revelation. Her move to report the incident has sparked public discussion on safety and professionalism in the entertainment scene.
Many Malaysians are waiting for updates, hoping justice will be served, and that such cases will not be swept under the carpet regardless of the accused’s status or reputation.
