Sibu UCA Inaugurates New Leadership Board

Sibu UCA Inaugurates New Leadership Board

SIBU – A new leadership team has been formally installed for the United Chinese Association (UCA) Sibu, marking a significant milestone for the longstanding community organization.

The inauguration ceremony encompassed the 24th Board of Directors, the 19th Youth Section, the 8th Women’s Section, and the 14th Lecture Hall Directors.

Established in 1977, the UCA Sibu is recognized as one of the earliest associations of its kind. It represents a federation of over 116 member organizations.

The association is widely regarded as a key collaborator with the Sarawak Government, championing a wide range of initiatives.

Its core mission focuses on serving the Chinese community through welfare programs, supporting Chinese education, and actively promoting racial and religious harmony throughout the region.

There is considerable confidence that the newly sworn-in committees will build upon this legacy. The incoming leadership is expected to continue its substantial contributions to community development and broader state-building efforts in Sarawak. The organization’s enduring spirit of unity is seen as a vital asset in its ongoing service to the public.
