SIMUNJAN — A special site visit was carried out on Tuesday to assess several proposed development projects across the Simunjan District. The initiative aims to ensure location suitability and alignment with community needs prior to implementation.

Joining the inspection was Simunjan State Assemblyman (ADUN) Awla Dris, along with representatives from key implementing agencies. The visit focused on three main proposed projects: the construction of a futsal field in Kampung Tanjung Harapan, a community house within the Simunjan District, and a village road project in Kampung Ensengei Iban.

The site visit marked a collaborative effort between the Batang Sadong Parliament Service Centre, Simunjan DUN Service Centre, Simunjan District Office, Public Works Department (JKR) Samarahan Division, Irrigation and Drainage Department (DID) Samarahan Division, and the Department of Soil and Survey, Samarahan Division.

According to Awla Dris, the visit represents a proactive step to ensure each proposed development meets specific local needs and complies with technical standards.

“This ground-level engagement is vital to ensure the projects will be meaningful and impactful for the Simunjan community. The strong commitment from all agencies involved is key to achieving high-quality outcomes,” he said.

He added that the initiative reflects a broader vision of promoting inclusive and sustainable rural development, especially in underserved areas.

Also present were Simunjan District Officer Sanuyah Mohamad, Special Officer to the Batang Sadong Parliament Idris Ibrahim, and technical officers from the respective departments.

The visit underscores the government’s hands-on approach to rural infrastructure planning and its dedication to fostering balanced development throughout the district.
