SMK St. Luke Crowned Champion of Sarawak TYT Cup 2025

KUCHINGSMK St. Luke, Sri Aman emerged victorious in the Sarawak Yang di-Pertua Negeri (TYT) Cup Round 2025, held at Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) Sarawak Branch on Monday.

Their win earned them:

  • The TYT Cup
  • RM2,500 cash prize
  • Books published by DBP
  • Certificates of recognition

They will now represent Sarawak at the national level forum finals, scheduled for 11–12 August 2025.

The award ceremony was graced by Sarawak Governor Tun Pehin Sri Dr Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar and Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Mohd Sanusi.

Double Win for SMK St. Luke

Two students from SMK St. Luke also swept individual honours:

Each school also received DBP books and certificates.

Minister of Education, Innovation and Talent Development Sarawak, Dato Sri Roland Sagah Wee Inn, applauded the forum for its longstanding role in nurturing communication skills and youth leadership.

“This competition has become a vital platform in shaping student potential, aligned with our efforts to develop competitive, balanced human capital.”

He reiterated that such youth forums reflect Sarawak’s holistic educational values and support PCDS 2030, the state’s vision for a prosperous, inclusive future.
