Upon arrival, responders discovered that the victim had lost control of his motorcycle, which veered into the shoulder of the road close to the Kampung Serembang intersection.

Emergency personnel carried out a Rapid Body Survey (RBS) and provided initial treatment. The victim was found to have sustained a torn wound to his lower lip and a minor injury elsewhere and reported pain in his right knee. After stabilisation, he was transferred to the Spaoh Health Clinic for further medical care.

Local authorities highlighted the importance of swift reporting in such cases, noting that the rapid response ensured the victim received immediate attention. The Civil Defence Force continues to play a vital role in providing emergency support in rural areas, where access to hospitals can be limited.

Motorcycle accidents remain a common concern across Sarawak, particularly in smaller towns and villages where motorcycles are a primary mode of transport. Safety campaigns have repeatedly urged riders to wear helmets, maintain their vehicles, and exercise caution on rural roads, which often present uneven surfaces and sharp bends.

Officials also reminded the public that even minor accidents can result in lasting trauma or complications if not treated promptly. The APM has encouraged residents to remain vigilant and to contact emergency services without delay when accidents occur.

The Spaoh District Operations Control Centre operates around the clock, ensuring that communities across the district have access to immediate support in emergencies ranging from road accidents to natural disasters.

This latest incident underscores the importance of community awareness and the role of quick action in safeguarding lives. Authorities continue to urge road users to prioritise safety and remain alert, particularly during peak travel hours.
