SRI AMAN – The Sri Aman District Civil Defence Force (APM) responded to a medical emergency on 8 June, assisting a 72-year-old woman suffering from severe spinal pain at Taman Gamang, Sri Aman. The patient was unable to stand and required immediate transfer to hospital.
The call for assistance came from Sri Aman Hospital, prompting APM to dispatch an ambulance with four personnel to the location.
Upon arrival, the team assessed the patient’s condition and carefully transferred her into the ambulance for transport.
The victim was taken to Sri Aman Hospital, where she was handed over to medical staff for further treatment.
Authorities confirmed that the patient arrived safely and the operation was completed without complications.
The distance between the Sri Aman District APM headquarters (PKOD) and the incident site was approximately seven kilometres. The team returned to base after ensuring the patient was safely admitted to hospital care.
The Sri Aman District APM highlighted the importance of rapid response in medical emergencies, particularly for elderly patients who may face mobility challenges.
