KOTA SAMARAHAN – An allocation of RM100,000 has been granted to the Uni Garden 1 Neighbourhood Circle (KRT) to bolster community initiatives and the upkeep of public facilities.
The funding was announced by Datuk Hamzah Brahim, the Stakan State Assemblyman.
He explained that the financial support is intended to ensure the KRT remains a vibrant platform for unifying the area’s multi-racial community.
The goal is to strengthen social networks and foster a stronger spirit of neighbourliness amongst residents.
“We are channelling this allocation to help KRT carry out various community programmes including sports, health and community activities,” he stated.
The assemblyman made these comments while officiating the KRT Sihat Hari Sukan Malaysia Programme at Padang Uni Central.
Datuk Hamzah also pledged to engage with the Kota Samarahan Municipal Council (MPKS) regarding the maintenance of Padang Uni Central.
This is to guarantee the field can be fully utilised by the local community for recreational purposes.
He commended the KRT Uni Garden and the Sports and Recreation Bureau of Al-Malik Mosque for organising the event, which successfully brought together diverse groups through enjoyable activities.
He acknowledged the challenge of uniting a busy community but highlighted the importance of such efforts for harmonious living.
The two-day programme attracted hundreds of participants. It featured a range of activities, including aerobics, a tug-of-war, and a nine-a-side football competition.
Also present at the event were Samarahan Division Unity Officer Diana Seliman and KRT Taman Uni Garden Chairman Ardi Sariie.
