Sultan Ibrahim Returns Safely After State Visit to Saudi Arabia and Bahrain

JOHOR BAHRU – His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim has safely returned to Malaysia following a six-day state visit to Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, which began on 3 November.

His Majesty’s private aircraft landed at the Royal Hangar of Senai International Airport (LTAS) at 8.30 am today (9 November). The arrival was warmly received by HRH Tunku Mahkota Ismail, Regent of the Sultan of Johor.

Also present to welcome His Majesty were YAB Dato’ Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Menteri Besar of Johor, Dato’ Asman Shah Abd Rahman, Johor State Secretary and President of the Johor Royal Council, Dato’ Dr Abdul Rahim Ramli, along with members of the Johor Royal Council and the State Executive Council.

Upon arrival, Sultan Ibrahim consented to pass through the Static Guard of Honour (KKS) mounted by the Johor Deputy Setia State Troops (ATSN), reflecting the ceremonial respect accorded to the King.

The state visit to Saudi Arabia and Bahrain underscored Malaysia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with both nations.

During the visit, His Majesty was received by senior leaders and royal dignitaries, with discussions focusing on enhancing cooperation in areas such as economic development, cultural exchange, and strategic partnerships.

The successful completion of the visit highlights Malaysia’s ongoing efforts to deepen international relations while reinforcing the symbolic role of the monarchy in representing the nation abroad.

His Majesty’s safe return was marked by a dignified ceremony in Johor, reflecting the respect and admiration of the state leadership and community for the King’s role in advancing Malaysia’s global presence.
