KUCHING, 2025 – The Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) N13 Batu Kitang Branch held its Installation Ceremony and Chinese New Year Celebration Dinner 2025 in a grand event attended by key political leaders and community members.
The event began at 5:30 PM with the arrival of the committee members, followed by the Guest of Honor, YB Datuk Amar Dr. Sim Kui Hian, at 6:30 PM. The celebration officially kicked off with a vibrant lion dance performance at 6:35 PM, followed by the singing of the Sarawak State Anthem and the party song.
During the dinner, speeches were delivered by the Organizing Chairman, Mr. Lim Lian Kee, and Guest of Honor, YB Datuk Amar Dr. Sim. This was followed by the official swearing-in ceremony of the N13 Batu Kitang Branch, including the Women’s Section and Youth Section, as well as the sub-branches at 3rd Mile, 10th Mile, and 6th Mile.
The event continued with a speech by the Function Chairman, YB Dato Lo Khere Chiang, and the installation of additional sub-branch committees. Entertainment performances by the branch members and a special performance by Adrian David kept the audience engaged throughout the night.
One of the highlights of the evening was the lucky draw session at 9:20 PM, where attendees had the chance to win exciting prizes. The event concluded at 9:30 PM with a warm farewell to all guests.
The organizing committee included prominent figures such as Penghulu Thian Sing Hwa, Penghulu Lim Eng Huat, Cr. Amy Tnay, and Gerald Goh. Their dedicated efforts ensured a successful and memorable evening for all attendees.
This event not only marked the official installation of new leaders within the party but also strengthened unity among members and the community as they welcomed the Year of the Snake with optimism and celebration.
