Suspected Suri Narudin Case Woman’s Body Found in Rembau, DNA Test Pending

Suspected Suri Narudin Case: Woman’s Body Found in Rembau, DNA Test Pending

REMBUAU – A shocking discovery in Kampung Batu 4, Rembau, has left the community in grief as a woman’s body was found hidden in a bag behind an unoccupied house on Thursday. The victim is believed to be 53-year-old Suri Narudin, who has been missing since December 8.

Mac Ruhayu Mohd Nor, Suri’s best friend, said she was certain the body belonged to Suri. “I’m sure it’s Suri’s body. The suspect is also someone Suri knows,” he told reporters. The disappearance of Suri was initially reported at Ampang Police Station by her aunt.

Following the grim discovery, Suri’s biological sister went to Rembau Hospital to undergo a DNA test to confirm the identity of the body. Ruhayu noted that the hospital indicated the results could take anywhere between two weeks and four months. “The autopsy has been completed, and we still need to wait for the official report from the police,” he said. He also mentioned plans to meet with Suri’s family to discuss the next steps.

So far, authorities have not officially confirmed the identity of the woman. Negeri Sembilan Police Chief, Datuk Alzafny Ahmad, told Sinar Harian that the case is suspected to be connected to the missing person report lodged at Ampang Jaya Police Station in Selangor.

On December 18, Pedas Police Station received a report which led officers to a house along Jalan Pedas–Linggi. There, they discovered a buried bag containing the woman’s body. On the same day, police arrested a man in Melaka believed to be connected to the case. The suspect has been remanded for seven days until December 25 for investigation under Section 302 of the Penal Code.

The case remains under investigation, with authorities urging the public to refrain from speculation until official confirmation is made.
