132 Children Graduate from Tabika KEMAS in Debak Zone

DEBAK – A total of 132 children from Tabika KEMAS kindergartens in the Debak Zone were celebrated during the 2025 Tabika KEMAS Appreciation Ceremony held on Thursday, marking the completion of their early schooling journey.

Deputy Minister for Women, Early Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development, Datuk Mohamad Razi Sitam, officiated the event and emphasised the importance of recognising the dedication of educators who have committed themselves to nurturing children from a young age.

He highlighted that Tabika KEMAS plays a vital role in laying the foundation for education, character development, and identity formation among children.

The programme also equips them with discipline, values, and social skills that will serve as essential assets in their future learning.

“This is where children take their first steps into the world of formal learning which will be a valuable asset in their educational journey,” he said.

The Saribas Assemblyman further noted that the achievements of children today are the result of strong collaboration between teachers, parents, and the wider community.

He urged continued support for KEMAS initiatives to ensure the sustainability of quality early childhood education across Sarawak.

Datuk Mohamad Razi also congratulated the children who were honoured at the ceremony, encouraging them to remain diligent in their studies and to heed the guidance of their teachers and parents.

The ceremony was attended by several key figures, including Betong Division KEMAS Officer Jeffy Lana, Debak Subdistrict Administrative Officer Mohamad Khairurani Mohamad Ibrahim, Betong Division Temenggong Piee Alwi, and Betong Division KEMAS Assistant Early Childhood Education Officer Nurhuzaizah Mostapha.

The event underscored the role of Tabika KEMAS as a cornerstone of early childhood education in rural communities, ensuring that children are well-prepared for the next stage of their academic journey.
