Take Christmas to Recharge for 2025, Dr Sim Urges Sarawakians

KUCHING (Dec 23) – Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian has called on Sarawakians to use this festive Christmas season as a time to relax, recharge, and prepare for the challenges and opportunities of 2025.

Dr Sim emphasized that the upcoming year will be a significant milestone as Sarawak continues its journey towards achieving the goals set under the Post Covid-19 Development Strategy 2030 (PCDS 2030). The strategy focuses on creating a prosperous, inclusive, and environmentally sustainable Sarawak.

In a heartfelt video message shared on his social media, Dr Sim wished all Sarawakians a joyous and meaningful Christmas.

“May this season of joy bring families together to strengthen bonds, uphold family values, and celebrate with good food and thoughtful gifts,” he said.

Focus on Inclusivity and Prosperity

Dr Sim, who also serves as the Minister of Public Health, Housing and Local Government, highlighted Sarawak’s progress in ensuring inclusivity. He shared how initiatives like pocket money for university students and e-vouchers for food are beginning to benefit 850,000 Sarawakians, showcasing the government’s commitment to equitable development.

He further urged the people of Sarawak to maintain unity and political stability, which he believes are critical for safeguarding the state’s prosperity and achieving the ambitious goals of PCDS 2030.

“With unity and stability, we can achieve PCDS 2030 and make Sarawak the best it has ever been,” he added.

A Time to Reflect and Recharge

Dr Sim’s message resonates as a timely reminder for Sarawakians to use this festive period not just for celebrations but also as a chance to recharge for a promising year ahead.
