“Talk To Us” Program at Miri Airport Strengthens Community Safety

MIRI, 19 February 2025 The Miri Airport Police Station held the “Talk To Us” program at Miri Airport Terminal to engage with the public and improve security awareness. Led by Sergeant Julius Koh Richard Ngipa, the initiative saw participation from Corporal Irwan bin Bahtiar, Corporal Abdul Hadi bin Abd Mubin, and Lance Corporal Evilyn Johny.

The program aimed to gather public feedback on crime and security concerns within the airport’s jurisdiction. Locals who attended expressed their support for the initiative, emphasizing the need for increased police patrols in residential areas near the airport. They also appreciated the valuable security information shared by the officers, reinforcing community confidence in law enforcement efforts.

According to feedback received, residents believe that “Talk To Us” is an effective program that should be continued regularly. It serves as a direct communication channel between the police and the public, ensuring a safer environment through community-police collaboration.

The Miri Airport Police Station encourages the public to take advantage of similar programs in the future, emphasizing that public involvement is crucial in crime prevention.
