TANJUNG MANIS – The inaugural Mukah Divisional Maulidur Rasul 1447H/2025M celebration was held here on Friday, emphasizing unity and brotherhood in accordance with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
The event, hosted at Kampung Rajang Mosque, marked the first time the divisional-level observance was held in Tanjung Manis, enhancing accessibility for rural communities.
Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Datuk Len Talif Salleh, who is also the Kuala Rajang State Assemblyman, underscored that the celebration serves not only as an annual ritual but as a meaningful platform to reflect on the Prophet’s struggles and principles.
He urged attendees to adopt the Prophet’s moral teachings including love, unity, and togetherness as guiding values in daily life and community leadership.
The procession featured 27 contingents across four categories: government agencies, village committees, religious institutions, and educational bodies. Chants of selawat filled the air, fostering a solemn and devotional atmosphere.
Additional activities included mass prayers and religious talks, providing spiritual benefits to all attendees. The event also facilitated closer engagement between community leaders and residents of interior and coastal regions.
Local officials, including the Mukah Division Deputy Resident and Tanjung Manis District Officer, were present, reinforcing the significance of the celebration in promoting religious and social cohesion.
