MUKAH – N57 Tellian Assemblyman YB Royston Valentine, accompanied by his wife, attended the Breaking of Fast Ceremony and Food Basket Presentation at Tone Café Mukah on Friday evening.
The programme, organised by the Mukah Youth Camp, was a continuation of the earlier Sungkey meal distribution held at the camp’s main gate. It aimed to support families from villages around Mukah during the fasting month.
The event was attended by several key figures, including Mr. Satar bin Smawi, Principal of the Mukah Youth Camp; Ms. Rasidah binti Rasit, MYSED Officer of Mukah Division; Ms. Felly Nora, Head of Mukah AADK District; DSP Rizal bin Alias, Chief of Mukah District Police; SAO Adri Musa, representative of the District Office; as well as heads of departments and recipients of the food basket donations.
The ceremony provided an opportunity for leaders and community members to come together in the spirit of Ramadan, strengthening bonds of friendship and solidarity.
The food basket distribution was seen as a meaningful gesture to ease the burden of families while reinforcing the values of care and compassion.
Community members expressed appreciation for the initiative, noting that such programmes highlight the importance of collaboration between leaders, institutions, and grassroots communities in supporting the welfare of residents.
