MUKAH – N57 Tellian Assemblyman Royston Valentine joined the Mukah community on Friday afternoon to distribute 600 Sungkey food meals at the Mukah Youth Camp, located along the Mukah-Oya main road.
The programme, organised by the Mukah Youth Camp, was held at the main gate and aimed to support the local community during Ramadan.
The initiative was led by the camp’s principal, Mr. Satar Smawi, who was congratulated for the successful implementation of the event.
The distribution of meals was attended by several key figures, including Mr. Bonnie Manau, Youth and Sports Officer of Mukah Division; Ms. Rasidah binti Rasit, MYSED Officer of Mukah Division; Insp Aiman, representative of Mukah IPD; Mr. Mike, Mukah District AADK Officer; Mr. Musa Osen, Giat Mara Mukah; as well as community leaders Chief Wena, Chief Norbert Tai, KK Julaihi, and KK Razali. Staff members of the Mukah Youth Camp also participated in the programme.
The event highlighted the spirit of togetherness and community support during the fasting month, while also recognising the perseverance of local youth and organisations in driving small-scale initiatives that benefit residents.
Community members expressed appreciation for the effort, noting that such programmes not only provide sustenance but also strengthen bonds between leaders, institutions, and the people.
