Three Arrested in Sungai Tapang Murder Case, Police Seek Public Assistance

PADAWAN, Dec 1 – Police have arrested three suspects in connection with the murder of a 22-year-old man at an apartment in Jalan Sungai Tapang.

Padawan District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi, confirmed the arrests and stated that all suspects are being remanded to assist in the ongoing investigation. The case is being probed under Section 302 of the Penal Code, which deals with murder.

Superintendent Mohd Irwan Hafiz urged members of the public with any information regarding the incident to step forward. “Anyone with details can contact ASP Sylvarius Gopog, the Chief Criminal Investigation Officer of Padawan IPD, at 013-8637241,” he said in a statement.

<strong>Gruesome Discovery After Dawn Call</strong>

The Padawan IPD Operations Room received a report about a fight at the apartment at approximately 4:40 am. Officers from the Criminal Investigation Division responded swiftly, arriving at the scene soon after.

They found the lifeless body of a young local man lying in a room within the apartment. The victim, aged 22, had multiple cut wounds on his body. Medical officers who were present at the scene confirmed his death.

“This is a tragic incident, and we are working hard to uncover the details surrounding this case. We urge the community to assist us in bringing justice for the victim and his family,” Superintendent Mohd Irwan Hafiz said.
