Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Joins BAKAT Pistol Shooting Event

KUCHING, 22 February – The Very Happy Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Binti Mohd. Sanusi attended an exciting Pistol Shooting Event organised by the Armed Forces Family Welfare Association (BAKAT) under the Army Eastern Field Command (PMTTD). More than just a competition, the event aimed to strengthen relationships, promote discipline, and introduce shooting sports as a focus-building activity.

Before the shooting event began, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah took time to visit the BAKAT Gallery. The gallery showcased a variety of handicrafts and local products made by BAKAT members. This visit highlighted the creativity and hard work of the members, who use their talents to contribute to the local economy through arts and handicrafts.

The event was held at the Cobra Shooting Range (CSR) in Muara Tuang Camp. It was graced by several distinguished guests, including Dato Doreen Mayang Unggah, Dato Enn Ong Siok Ean, Datin Sri Hajah Zuraini Binti Abdul Jabbar, Datin Amar Baduyah Binti Haji Bujang, Datin Esther Mujan Balan, Datin Daisy Anak Dayus, Datin Loh Ai Ling, Datin Fauziah Mardiana Binti Sepawi, Datin Erni Irawati Binti Rosli, Datin Roslina Binti Abu Bakar, and other members of BAKAT under PMTTD.

Otakyun Event 2026

Participants competed in different shooting categories, including individual, team, and balloon shooting. These competitions tested their accuracy, control, and ability to handle firearms safely and responsibly. Beyond the competitive spirit, the event fostered strong friendships and created an atmosphere of enthusiasm and camaraderie.

This event highlights the commitment to promoting an active lifestyle and leadership through sports while encouraging more women to participate in shooting sports. It also strengthens the role of women in the community and fosters strong ties between BAKAT, SABATI, and MAKSAK members.
