Fatal Accident in Kampung Temangis
LAWAS: In a tragic incident early this morning, a 28-year-old man lost his life when his vehicle collided with a tree along the road divider at Kampung Temangis, Lawas. The victim, identified as Ezra Labo David, was driving a Toyota Prado when the accident occurred.
Emergency Response and Rescue Efforts
The Fire and Rescue operations centre (Bomba) received an emergency call at 3.20 am, prompting a swift response. A team of eight firemen from the Lawas fire station was dispatched to the scene to carry out rescue operations.
Upon arrival, the rescue team found the driver still trapped inside the vehicle. Using specialized rescue tools, they managed to extract him from the wreckage. Paramedics at the scene confirmed that Ezra Labo David had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead on the spot.
Police Investigation Underway
Following the confirmation of his death, the victim’s body was handed over to the police for further investigation. Authorities are expected to look into the circumstances leading to the crash to determine if any other factors contributed to the unfortunate incident.
