Samarahan: Two construction workers, Indonesian citizens, each identified as Tadi, 29 years old, and Mustakim, 43 years old, died in an incident, collapse of a trench wall that is still under construction in Lorong Samarindah, 14B, Kota Samarahan.

In a devastating turn of events, two construction workers lost their lives in a tragic incident in Samarahan. The victims, identified as Tadi, aged 29, and Mustakim, aged 43, both Indonesian citizens, were fatally injured in a trench collapse at the construction site located in Lorong Samarindah, 14B, Kota Samarahan.

Prompt Response by Fire and Rescue Team

The Fire Team from the Fire Station and Rescue (BBP) of Kota Samarahan, under the leadership of the Station Chief, sprang into action swiftly upon receiving the distress call at 11:25 am. Firefighters arrived promptly at the scene to initiate rescue operations.

Successful Rescue Efforts

With the aid of specialized equipment, including a scissors, the firefighting team managed to extricate the two victims from the debris within a remarkably short span of nine minutes. Despite their valiant efforts, both individuals were tragically pronounced dead by the Medical Authority (KKM).

Conclusion of Operations

Following the conclusion of the rescue operation, the bodies of the deceased were handed over to the Police for further investigation and necessary procedures. The operation, fraught with tension and urgency, concluded at 1 p.m.

This heartbreaking incident serves as a stark reminder of the inherent dangers faced by construction workers and the critical importance of stringent safety measures at construction sites.
