SHAH ALAM — In a major move to boost entrepreneurship among youth, the government will fully fund Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates who wish to pursue further studies in entrepreneurship at Management and Science University (MSU), announced Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi today.

The initiative, which will be coordinated by the National TVET Council, is part of the government’s broader strategy to produce entrepreneurs from among skills-based graduates. Funding will be provided by the Ministry of Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives (KUSKOP).

Speaking at a press conference after launching TVET MSU, Ahmad Zahid, who also chairs the National TVET Council, said that not all TVET graduates are inclined to join the conventional workforce, and many are eager to explore entrepreneurship.

“To support this aspiration, MSU will introduce a special module tailored for TVET graduates to pursue entrepreneurship studies, potentially at the Executive Diploma level,” he explained.

He added that further details of the programme will be announced within the next two weeks and emphasised that the initiative reflects the government’s strong commitment to nurturing a new generation of skilled entrepreneurs.

The event was also attended by MSU President and Founder, Prof Tan Sri Dr Mohd Shukri Ab. Yajid, who welcomed the collaboration as a crucial step in bridging the gap between technical skills and business acumen.

The programme is expected to open doors for TVET graduates nationwide, including those in Sarawak, offering them a fully funded pathway to expand their career prospects through entrepreneurial education.
