KUCHING: A dramatic accident involving two Toyota Hilux vehicles at a traffic light in Moyan, Batu Kawa, left both drivers injured last night. The incident, which occurred at around 9.15 pm, was captured on a nearby vehicle’s dashcam.

According to the footage, a white Hilux traveling from Bau collided with a grey Hilux that was positioned in the middle of the intersection. The impact of the crash was so severe that the grey Hilux flipped over, causing panic among bystanders.

Several passersby rushed to the scene to help both drivers out of their damaged vehicles and immediately called for medical assistance. The drivers sustained injuries but were conscious when rescued.

Eyewitnesses reported that both vehicles were extensively damaged due to the force of the collision. The exact cause of the accident remains unclear.

Padawan Police Chief, Supt Mohd Irwan Hafiz Md Radzi, stated that no official report on the incident has been received yet. Authorities are urging witnesses or those involved to come forward with information to assist in the investigation.

Motorists are reminded to exercise extra caution at intersections, especially at night, to prevent such accidents.
