TYT Sarawak Sends New Year 2026 Message of Unity and Hope

KUCHING, Dec 31 — As Sarawak prepares to welcome the new year, His Excellency the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, together with his wife, Her Excellency Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah binti Mohd Sanusi, has extended New Year 2026 greetings to all Sarawakians, calling for unity, resilience and a stronger sense of purpose in the year ahead.

In his New Year message, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi reflected on the closing of 2025, describing it as a year that offered many lessons and experiences for the people of the state. As the page turns to 2026, he expressed hope that the coming year would bring peace of mind, clarity in direction and inner strength to the community, regardless of background or belief.

The Yang di-Pertua Negeri emphasised that the new year should not merely mark the passing of time, but must be used as an important platform to renew commitment and improve the way plans and policies are carried out. He stressed that every effort made by leaders, public servants and the wider community must be translated into real outcomes that can be felt and enjoyed by the people.

According to him, the spirit of togetherness remains the backbone of Sarawak’s stability and progress. Mutual respect, understanding and long-standing bonds of friendship among Sarawakians of diverse cultures and religions must continue to be protected and strengthened. He noted that these values have long been part of Sarawak’s identity and must remain the foundation for future development and harmony.

Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Wan Junaidi also took the opportunity to convey his prayers for the well-being of the people. He expressed hope that Sarawakians would be blessed with good health, harmony within their families and success in their respective pursuits. He added that a peaceful and prosperous environment is essential for the state to continue moving forward in an orderly and meaningful manner.
