TYT Sarawak Visits KWC Wholesale in KL

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 – The TYT Sarawak, Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafar, together with his wife Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, spent time visiting KWC Fashion Wholesale at Jalan Gelugor, Pudu, here this morning.

Their Excellencies arrived at about 11.15am and were accompanied by their daughter, Sharifah Nong-Jasima. The visit drew attention from shoppers at the popular wholesale shopping centre, which is widely known among locals as Kenanga.

According to sources present, the main purpose of the visit was for Tun Pehin Sri to purchase robes and kopiahs for daily use. The Sarawak State Ruler was seen browsing several outlets within the mall, taking his time to select suitable attire. The visit was conducted in a simple and relaxed manner, reflecting a personal shopping trip rather than an official function.

KWC Fashion Wholesale is one of the well-known shopping centres in the capital, offering a wide variety of clothing for men, women and children at affordable prices. The mall has long been a preferred destination for small traders and customers seeking bulk purchases as well as reasonably priced fashion items. Its strategic location in Pudu makes it easily accessible to city residents and visitors from outside Kuala Lumpur.

During their time at the mall, Tun Pehin Sri and Toh Puan also met several Sarawakians who happened to be shopping there. Many took the opportunity to greet Their Excellencies and request photographs. The Sarawak State Ruler and his wife were seen responding warmly, chatting briefly and taking selfies with well-wishers.

The presence of the Sarawak State Ruler at a public shopping centre created a friendly atmosphere, with many expressing appreciation for the approachable nature of Their Excellencies. It was a moment of pride for Sarawakians in the capital to meet their state leader in person.

The visit concluded after the couple completed their purchases and spent time interacting with members of the public. The brief outing highlighted a simple yet meaningful engagement between the state’s top leadership and ordinary citizens outside Sarawak.
