SEREMBAN, 15 April 2025 — A shocking kidnapping incident in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, has come to light after a 16-year-old girl was abducted and hidden in a luggage bag to avoid detection by the public and authorities.
According to Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) Director Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, the girl was walking alone to a convenience store in Uptown Avenue, Seremban 2, on April 10 after visiting a nearby salon with her mother. On her way, two men suddenly grabbed her and stuffed her into luggage before fleeing the scene in a vehicle.
After realising her daughter was missing, the mother quickly informed the victim’s grandfather, who lodged a police report. The situation escalated when the mother received a chilling phone call from the kidnappers demanding RM2 million in ransom. On April 11, the family paid RM280,000 and handed over several pieces of gold jewellery to the suspects.

Police acted swiftly and arrested six local suspects, including three men and three women, aged between 20 and 31. Among the six, a woman is believed to be the mastermind behind the plot. Investigations are ongoing under Section 3(1) of the Kidnapping Act 1961.
Authorities also recovered RM180,000 in ransom money, several mobile phones, and even metal detectors. These tools were allegedly used to check for tracking devices on the ransom packages.
In a dramatic development, one male suspect believed to be involved in the case was shot dead in a police shootout in Bandar Bukit Tinggi, Klang, yesterday.
