Missing Woman Found Dead in Car at Kuching Multi-Storey Car Park

Missing Woman Found Dead in Car at Kuching Multi-Storey Car Park

KUCHING, Oct 29 – A shocking discovery was made this afternoon when a woman’s body was found inside a car parked at a multi-storey car park in Kuching. The grim find was made around 3.00pm after members of the public noticed a strong foul smell coming from one of the parked vehicles.

According to early police information, the woman is believed to have been dead for several days before her body was discovered. Investigators suspect she may be the same person who was reported missing earlier this week.

Eyewitnesses said the odour had been noticeable since the morning, but the situation escalated when passersby realised it was coming from a specific vehicle. The police were alerted immediately, and a team was dispatched to the scene.

Upon arrival, officers confirmed that a woman’s body was inside the car. The vehicle reportedly matches the description of the one driven by the missing woman before she was last seen. However, police have yet to officially confirm her identity pending further investigation and verification from family members.

The entire section of the car park was cordoned off by the police to facilitate a forensic examination and to prevent public disturbance. The body has since been sent to the Sarawak General Hospital for post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.

Kuching District Police Chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu, when contacted, said investigations are ongoing and further details will be released once confirmation is made.

This incident has sparked concern among city residents, especially those who frequent the area, urging authorities to enhance security and regular patrols in public parking facilities.
