KUCHING: A workshop located in Lorong 4, Jalan Sungai Tapang was completely destroyed in a fire late last night, causing panic among residents in the area.

The Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received an emergency call at 11.02 pm and immediately dispatched fire engines from Batu Lintang Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) and Tabuan Jaya BBP to the scene.

Operations Commander PBK II Abdul Hakim Supian said the fire brigade acted swiftly upon arrival to prevent the fire from spreading to nearby buildings. The team worked efficiently to contain and extinguish the flames, ensuring the safety of surrounding properties.

<strong>No Injuries Reported, Cause Under Investigation</strong>

Fortunately, no casualties or injuries were reported in the incident. Firefighters successfully controlled the fire without any major complications.

Authorities are still investigating the cause of the fire and the total loss incurred due to the damage.
