KUCHING, 15 March 2025 – YB Dato Lo Khere Chiang dedicated a significant amount of time today to engage with community leaders, including KMKKs, Kapitans, and Penghulus from N13 Batu Kitang. The discussion focused on the implementation and execution of the ongoing Rural Transformation Project (RTP), a key initiative by the Sarawak Government to enhance rural infrastructure and community development.
What is the Rural Transformation Project (RTP)?
The Rural Transformation Project (RTP) is an initiative introduced by the Sarawak Government, providing RM5 million annually to each Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) State Legislative Member (YB) to develop their respective constituencies. This funding is allocated to support essential projects aimed at improving rural infrastructure and ensuring better living conditions for the people.

The RTP is a reflection of the Sarawak Government’s commitment to enhancing rural areas by equipping communities with basic yet vital facilities, fostering sustainability, and preserving the unique characteristics of each rural area.
