YB Lo Khere Chiang Visits Hospitalised Constituents, Emphasises Community Unity

KUCHING In a heartfelt demonstration of care and duty, N.13 Batu Kitang Assemblyman YB Dato Ir. Lo Khere Chiang visited the Emergency Ward at Sarawak General Hospital today to check on the condition of an elderly constituent from his area.

Later in the day, YB Dato Lo continued his rounds with a visit to Pusat Jantung Sarawak (Sarawak Heart Centre), where another resident from Kampung Haji Baki was receiving treatment. He was joined by the village chief during the visit.

In a meaningful coincidence, he met fellow Assemblyman YB Datuk Dr. Haji Hazland bin Abang Hipni of N.5 Demak Laut at the centre, who was also there to visit one of his community leaders, a penghulu who is currently undergoing treatment.

“In good times and in hardship, leaders must stand with their people. It’s not just about politics — it’s about humanity, compassion, and reminding people that they are not alone,” said YB Dato Lo.

He added that community service is not limited to festive seasons or public events, but is especially crucial during difficult times when people need assurance, support, and a comforting presence.

“To all patients and their families, we are praying for your strength and fast recovery. May you return soon to the warmth of your homes and loved ones,” he said with sincerity.

This visit is part of YB Dato Lo’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the bond between elected leaders and the people they serve. His consistent presence in the community — whether during walkabouts, hospital visits, or dialogue sessions — reflects his firm belief that leadership means showing up when it matters most.
