SERIAN (Oct 23): A 20-year-old motorcyclist tragically lost his life in a single-vehicle accident at KM50 Jalan Kuching-Serian today while returning home from work.
Serian police chief DSP Neil Beginda confirmed that the victim, identified as Cornelius Alvin Elban from Kampung Rasau, was traveling from Samajaya when the accident occurred around 10am.
“Initial investigations suggest that the motorcycle lost control and collided with a metal guardrail, ejecting the victim from the vehicle,” said Beginda.
Medical personnel pronounced the victim dead at the scene due to severe head injuries. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
