PBB Women’s Wing Vows to Build a Prosperous Sarawak by 2030

KUCHING, 15 FEBRUARY: The Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Women’s Wing remains steadfast in its mission to ensure Sarawak’s prosperity by 2030. With a clear focus on economic growth, social inclusivity, and environmental sustainability, the wing is set to align its efforts with the Sarawak Post COVID-19 Development Strategy (PCDS) 2030.

PBB Women’s Chief, Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah, emphasized that the wing is committed to advocating for equality and inclusivity while addressing pressing social issues such as poverty and gender disparity.

“We will ensure that no group is left behind. Our focus is on creating a society where everyone has access to welfare and social support, enabling all Sarawakians to live a dignified and prosperous life,” said Dato Sri Fatimah during her speech at the opening ceremony of the 16th General Assembly of the UN Youth Wing and Women’s Wing at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching (BCCK).

She added that this commitment is in tandem with the second phase of the PCDS 2030 implementation, which emphasizes green economy initiatives, hydrogen technology, and social welfare improvements.
