KUCHING, 19 February – His Excellency the Chief Executive of Sarawak, Tun Pehin Sri Dr. Haji Wan Junaidi Bin Tuanku Jaafar, along with his wife, Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Fauziah Binti Mohd. Sanusi, graciously welcomed a courtesy visit from the Harakah Islamiah (HIKMAH) delegation today at the Small Front Room, Sarawak State Palace.

Strengthening Islamic Initiatives in Sarawak

The HIKMAH delegation, led by its President, Tan Sri Datuk Amar (Dr) Haji Abdul Aziz Bin Dato Haji Husain, was accompanied by key figures in the organization. Among them were Deputy President Datu Haji Abang Mohd. Shibli Bin Haji Abang Mohd. Naiee, Vice Presidents Toh Puan Hajah Hayati Binti Haji Ahmat and Dato Sri Temenggong Haji Wan Abdul Hamid Edruce Bin Tuanku Haji Mohammad, as well as several committee members, including Puan Raihan Binti Haji Yusop, Tuan Haji Sulaiman Bin Haji Mahili, Encik Jemain Bin Kassim, Dr. Haji Syed Abdul Aziz Bin Dato Sri Temenggong Haji Wan Abdul Hamid Edruce, and Tuan Haji Alwi Bin Haji Morshidi.

Discussing Islamic Development and Community Empowerment

The primary purpose of this courtesy visit was to introduce HIKMAH’s new leadership and to discuss the organization’s strategic initiatives. The discussions revolved around enhancing Islamic institutions, expanding dakwah (Islamic propagation) programs, and fostering strategic collaborations to ensure the sustainable and inclusive development of the Muslim community in Sarawak.

Tun Pehin Sri expressed his gratitude and admiration for HIKMAH’s dedication to uplifting the Muslim community, particularly in the areas of education, welfare, and social development. He emphasized the importance of continued efforts to unite and empower Muslims in the state.

A Vision for the Future

Tun Pehin Sri also conveyed his hope that HIKMAH will continue to grow and further strengthen its role in the religious and social landscape of Sarawak. He reiterated the state government’s commitment to supporting initiatives that contribute to the well-being and progress of the Muslim community.
