TATAU: The Sarawak ID and S Pay Global registration program for Sarawak Basic Needs Contribution (SKAS) recipients in Tatau District has received an overwhelming response from local residents.
The program, which runs from February 25 to 27, is being held at the Basketball Court, SJKC Chung Hua Tatau, from 8 AM to 5 PM. Many residents have eagerly taken part, arriving early in the morning to register new accounts or seek assistance with their Sarawak ID and S Pay Global registration process.
It was observed that a significant number of people either did not have an account or faced difficulties during the registration process. To ensure a smooth process, the event organizers have set up 13 counters to accommodate the high number of applicants, providing guidance and support where needed.
As of today, a total of 274 individuals have successfully registered under this initiative. The program is a joint effort led by Sarawak Information Systems (SAINS) in collaboration with the Economic Planning Unit (EPU), Sarawak Multimedia Authority (SMA), Public Service Digitization Unit (SCSDU), and the Tatau District Office.
Several key officials attended the event to monitor its progress, including Tatau Assistant District Officer Winnie Dian, Tatau District Administrative Officer Raden Azamry Raden Perhan, and Tatau District Pemanca Gerosen Jubin.
This initiative aims to promote digital inclusion among Sarawakians by ensuring that all eligible individuals can access government services more conveniently through Sarawak ID and S Pay Global.
