Tragic Crash in Sri Aman Motorcyclist Dies After Skidding Into Ditch

Tragic Crash in Sri Aman: Motorcyclist Dies After Skidding Into Ditch

SRI AMAN: A 57-year-old man lost his life after his motorcycle skidded and plunged into a ditch along Jalan Kampung Engkeramut this evening.

The Sarawak Fire and Rescue Operations Centre (PGO) reported that the Sri Aman Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) received an emergency call about the accident at approximately 4.59 pm.

Rescue Team Rushed to the Scene

A team of seven firefighters, led by Senior Fire Officer 1, Mohd Fadhli Buyong, was immediately dispatched to the location to assist in the emergency.

“Upon arriving at the scene, we found that it was a self-inflicted accident where the motorcyclist had lost control and fallen into a ditch,” said a spokesperson from the Sri Aman Operational Response Team (PKO).

The rescue team, equipped with full personal protective equipment (PPE), worked swiftly to retrieve the victim and bring him back onto the road.

Victim Confirmed Dead at the Scene

Sadly, paramedics from the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) confirmed that the victim had died at the scene due to severe injuries. The body was then handed over to the police for further investigation.

Authorities are urging motorcyclists to be extra cautious when riding, especially on slippery or uneven roads, to prevent accidents like this from happening again.

Our deepest condolences go out to the family of the victim.
