Batu Lintang Mobile Service at Chee Yung Cafe a Great Success!

KUCHING – The Batu Lintang Mobile Service, led by Sih Hua Tong and the SUPP Batu Lintang Branch Team, successfully provided essential welfare assistance to the community at Chee Yung Cafe, Jalan Setia Raja. This initiative, held on Sunday, 23rd March 2025, saw a strong turnout from senior citizens eager to learn about the Kenyalang Gold Card and Senior Citizen Health Benefit (SCHB).

<strong>A Community-Focused Initiative</strong>

From 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, the mobile service center was abuzz with activity as many senior citizens arrived to inquire about welfare benefits. The initiative aimed to make it easier for Sarawakians aged 60 and above to apply for government assistance without the hassle of traveling long distances.

<strong>Services Provided On-Site</strong>

During the session, attendees received assistance in: ✅ Kenyalang Gold Card Applications – A card that provides various benefits and discounts for senior citizens in Sarawak. ✅ Senior Citizen Health Benefit (SCHB) Applications – Medical assistance of up to RM500 per year for eligible seniors from the B40 and M40 income groups.

<strong>Who Benefited from the Service?</strong>

To qualify for these benefits, applicants had to meet the following criteria: ✔ Sarawakian aged 60 & above ✔ “K” status on MyKad ✔ Household income below RM7,000

<strong>Overwhelming Support from the Community</strong>

Led by the dedicated Journey of Hua Tong & Team, the session saw a warm and lively atmosphere as attendees engaged in discussions and received face-to-face assistance. Many seniors expressed gratitude for the opportunity to get direct help in applying for these government programs.
