MPP Chairman Thanks Councillors for Dedication in Serving Padawan

Padawan, 27 March 2025 – The Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) held its final Full Council Meeting for the current term of its Councillors today. During the meeting, MPP Chairman, Cr. Tan Kai, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for their dedication and service to the residents of Padawan over the past two years.

Cr. Tan Kai highlighted the vital role of Resident Councillors in bridging communication between MPP and the local community. He praised their commitment to addressing public concerns, resolving issues, and improving the quality of life in the municipality.

“Councillors play an important role in ensuring that the voice of the people is heard. Their contributions have helped make Padawan a better place for everyone,” he said.

As the term comes to an end, some Councillors will be stepping down from their positions. Cr. Tan Kai took the opportunity to express gratitude to those leaving, thanking them for their efforts and wishing them well in their future endeavors. He also encouraged those continuing their service to uphold the council’s good reputation and continue working towards better governance and public service.

“For those who are completing their term, I hope you will continue to contribute to the community in different ways. Once a Councillor, always a Councillor. The doors of MPP will always be open for suggestions and improvements,” he added.

The meeting served as a moment of reflection and appreciation for the hard work put in by the Councillors throughout their tenure. The MPP Chairman reaffirmed the council’s commitment to serving the people and ensuring continued progress for Padawan.
