This outreach programme aimed to bring essential government services closer to the people, especially the elderly and those in need. Many residents showed up to enquire about the various Sarawak government initiatives available to them.

Among the popular programmes promoted were:

Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) – Offers benefits such as discounts, priority services, and financial aid for Sarawakians aged 60 and above.
Senior Citizen Health Benefit (SCHB) – Provides up to RM500 in medical assistance yearly for senior citizens from the B40 and M40 income groups, allowing them to seek treatment at private clinics and hospitals.

To be eligible, applicants must be: ✔ Aged 60 and above
✔ Holders of a “K” status on their MyKad
✔ Have a household income below RM7,000

YB Dato Lo expressed his happiness over the strong public response.
“I am extremely blissful to see that many residents came to learn more about the government’s efforts to help ease their burdens. The Sarawak government is committed to improving the quality of life for the people,” he said.

He also assured that SUPP Batu Kitang will continue conducting similar mobile service programmes to ensure more people are informed and able to benefit from the available assistance.

The event at 3rd Mile reflects the state government’s continuous effort to deliver help directly to the rakyat, especially the elderly and underprivileged.
