Gawai Dayak Parade Showcases Cultural Diversity and State Unity

KUCHING: The Gawai Dayak Parade 2025 highlighted the rich cultural diversity of the Dayak ethnic groups and symbolised their vital contributions to the development of Sarawak and the nation.

Sarawak Deputy Premier, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas, said the parade brought together Dayak communities from across Sarawak, including the Orang Ulu, Bidayuh and Iban, resulting in one of the most vibrant and diverse Gawai parades to date.

“This is how we showcase the cultural richness of the Malaysian community, especially through the traditions and customs of the Dayak people.
