36 Outstanding SPM and STPM Students of SMK Agama Igan Honoured with Incentives

IGAN – A total of 36 high-achieving students from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan (SMK) Agama Igan were recognised for their academic excellence in the 2024 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) and Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examinations.

The incentive awards were presented during a ceremony officiated by the Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Integrity and Ombudsman) and Jemoreng State Assemblyman, YB Dato’ Murshid Diraja Dr. Juanda Jaya, at the school on Thursday.

Of the 36 students, 31 were honoured for their exceptional performance in SPM, while five students received incentives for outstanding STPM results.

In his address, Dato’ Juanda urged students to remain focused and ambitious in pursuing their future education and careers.

“I hope this success becomes a stepping stone toward nurturing quality human capital from the Jemoreng area. Our youth must be prepared to contribute meaningfully to the development of Sarawak and the nation,” he said.

The students expressed their appreciation for the recognition, viewing it as motivation to continue striving for academic excellence and to make their families and communities proud.

The incentive programme reflects the government’s continued commitment to promoting education excellence and recognising student achievements at the grassroots level.
