MULU – A total of RM442,000 has been disbursed to 28 recipients in the Mulu State Assembly (DUN) constituency under the Sarawak Government’s Rural Small Project (MRP) allocation, reaffirming the state’s commitment to uplifting rural communities.

The funds were handed over during the Mulu DUN MRP Grant Cheque Presentation Ceremony held on Monday at the Mulu DUN Service Centre. The ceremony was officiated by Mulu State Assemblyman and Deputy Minister in the Premier’s Department (Labour, Immigration and Project Monitoring), Datuk Gerawat Gala.

He emphasised that the MRP remains a vital tool in the state’s efforts to ensure development reaches the most remote communities. “As of July 2025, a total of RM2.984 million has been distributed through the Mulu ADUN MRP fund, covering 216 approved applications. This is clear evidence that the government listens and takes action on the people’s needs,” he said.
