According to the Mayor, as soon as the tree collapse was reported, MBKS’s Landscape Officer, supported by MBKS staff, contractors, and the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), responded quickly.

The next morning, Dato Wee personally visited the site with his Landscape Officer, Senior Engineer, and Mechanical Engineer to check the situation. He confirmed that the fallen tree had already been removed, and the damaged barricade was repaired within the same day.

While some members of the public had shared criticisms about the incident, Dato Wee urged for understanding and recognition of the efforts made by the MBKS team. “These men and women work long hours behind the scenes. They don’t do it for praise—they do it because they care,” he said.
