DARO – Road connectivity in rural Daro has seen significant improvement with the completion of the Rural Communication Road (JPD) project in Kampung Tengah, bringing safer and more efficient travel for residents.
The project, aimed at upgrading infrastructure in the region, was officially launched during a ceremony officiated by Daro State Assemblyman (ADUN) Safiee Ahmad on Sunday.
Implemented by the Sarawak Irrigation and Drainage Department (DID) under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKDW), the initiative is part of a broader government effort to enhance infrastructure in remote areas across Sarawak.
During his remarks, YB Safiee praised the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders, particularly the local residents who supported the project’s development.
“This project not only improves mobility but also directly impacts access to education, healthcare services, and economic opportunities,” he said. “It reflects the government’s strong commitment to strengthening basic rural infrastructure.”
YB Safiee also reaffirmed the state government’s dedication to bridging the development gap between urban and rural communities. He noted that continued investment in rural infrastructure is essential to ensuring balanced growth and improving the quality of life for all Sarawakians, regardless of their location.
The upgraded road in Kampung Tengah stands as a vital link for local villagers and an encouraging sign of progress for the greater Daro region.
